About the stone
Chrysoprase
An apple- to mint-green chalcedony coloured by nickel. One of the most valued varieties of chalcedony. Hardness 6.5–7.
In tradition: Its fresh green colour has made chrysoprase a jewellery favourite since antiquity.
Care: Keep out of long, strong sunlight, which can fade the colour; wipe with a soft dry cloth.
