About the stone
Moss agate
A clear to milky chalcedony (a fine-grained quartz) with green inclusions of minerals such as chlorite that look like moss. Hardness 6.5–7.
In tradition: Moss agate was once known as "mocha stone", after the port of Mocha in Yemen, and has long been linked with gardens and growing things.
Care: Wipe with a soft dry cloth; keep away from perfume and harsh cleaners.
